Feeling Festive at Kew Gardens

I wanna wish you Merry Christmas!

This is just one of those “I can’t believe it’s bloody Christmas” posts. But seriously, I mean it, I can’t believe it’s bloody Christmas.

And so as people do when they feel the need to start being festive, I flocked to some christmassy spots in London this week and even dabbled in purchasing some ‘seasonal apple strudel Nespresso pods’. Get me being a sophisticated adult ( Mate. They seriously taste the same. I don’t get it).

And so the week started with a trip to Kew Gardens with an old school friend.

I’d never been to Kew before and it seemed like a perfect time to go despite the hefty price tag.

And so we picked ourselves up some mulled wine – YES and headed out on the one mile walk around the gardens.

I was quite impressed with the show they put on, from illuminated Christmas trees to an awesome light show with lots of coloured balls to lots of different music.

The whole trail was illuminated and took you through various themes surrounding Christmas.

But for me, the highlight was the light tunnel. It had some kind of mesmerising effect that made it look like a giant slinky.

See. Giant slinky.

Oh and there were toasted marshmallows. I mean what’s not to love about toasted marshmallows.

We spent a couple of hours at Kew just exploring and also watching the Palm House light show which was impressive. Lasers and everything.

When we were done, we headed over to Pizza Express for a nice meal before heading home.

I don’t know about you, but I quite like winter when it’s this good.

Tell me all of your festive activities!
